When I started writing on here, it was with the intention that it would be about beauty and fashion and makeup; what gives me joy in life.
But since I started posting, it became more of an emotional outlet. A place where I could write out all of my thoughts, opinions and feelings without a fear of being judged. A place where I could speak freely about my anxiety, depression and general teen issues right here in my own little corner of the internet.
Don't get me wrong, I still love makeup and beauty and fashion and intend on pursuing a career in that, but I want this blog to be something more than vanity.
A place for both myself, and anyone reading this to realize they aren't alone. To face our fears and insecurities together. Whether that's with just one of you or even with hundreds...perhaps even thousands...o.o that's a scary thought...
Anywayyy, I am going to make a few changes on here before its too late, starting with the name. although I'm undecided of what exactly I will change it to, 'Sarah's Beauty Babble' just doesn't seem to fit anymore.
And this is the luxury of having no one read this blog (yet ;)...), I can end it abruptly because I've run out of things to say XD
Please if you are reading this, leave me a comment, I could use some support and motivation on here!

Feeling Alone
Do you ever feel alone? Like you're surrounded by so many people yet it feels as if no one understands you? Because that's basically how I've felt my entire life.
I like being alone and the general silence and serenity captured by my bedroom walls helps me find happiness in this big world, but I have always longed to find someone who is just like me. Someone who can be loud and spontaneous yet introverted and insecure. Someone who shared my thoughts and opinions on the world.
Don't get me wrong, I know that I will never find my exact replica, but I can't help but hope that I will at east find someone who can understand why I think the things I do.
I have friends, and I have the internet, and I have a life, but its not the one I want to live. I feel trapped here.
I never liked my hometown. It's a place that no one leaves. Where people grow old and eventually fade away, and if I know that the place that I need to be isn't in this dot-on-the-map town then why am I here?
I cant wait to be the person that finally leaves and follows her dreams and does what she wants to do and finds that person that makes her feel...complete.
But for now I suppose I will just have to keep painting that smile on my face everyday until I can get out of this deadbeat town.
Keep your chin up,
xoxo Sarah

Update!
Hello everyone! Sorry I've been away for so long. I have had a busy couple of months and I think it's time to have a little chat about things. Around Christmas time, I started feeling very anxious. It was too the point that I couldn't even go to school, that was the time at which I went to see the VP of my school. I had missed over a month of school. Although I was passing all my classes, my grades weren't ecmxactly where I had wanted them to be. It didn't help that I was having issues with a teacher that would often mark my wok unfairly in comparison to everyone else's. I became quite depressed to be quite honest, and I just could not sit down and write. I think I'm back to a place in which I am able to sit down and write a blog post. However this time it is going to be a little but more structured. I am planning to post once a week at least. That is my goal. However please understand that I am busy with school and I can only write if I have time. I've also been at the gym a lot. That is something that I'd really like to keep up with. I know I don't have many readers, but, I love writing this and it's something I am already very proud of. My next post will be a monthly favourites so stay tuned for that.

Ten Quick Fixes For Breakouts!
We have all had those nights where you just don't feel like taking off your make up. I'm in high school too, I know those feels all to well. When you wake up, and you look in the mirror, only to find those annoying breakouts. Well I've found a few ways that you can shrink those suckers down real fast, so without further adieu, here are ten ways to help clear up your skin in the shortest amount of time possible.
1: DON'T PICK. My parents are always yelling at me when I pick at any spots I may have. And as tempting as it is to pop those painful unsightly bumps, they are totally right. Picking at your spots is only going to infect them further with the bacteria from your skin. Plus, the bacteria from that one spot that you just had to pick at is now going to aid in adding even more spots to your face.
2: Wear as little makeup as possible. I know how much better it feels to know that your spots are covered but it needs to breath. If you layer on foundation and concealer and blah blah blah, you are going to clog the infected pore even more.
3: Don't use full on acne wash if you only have one or two spots because the salysilic acid or benzyl peroxide in it is just going to dry out your whole face. Instead use a face scrub but try to avoid your spots as it will irritate them. Then proceed to apply a spot treatment or tea tree oil to the infected areas. This will dry out the spot. Then make sure to moisturize the rest of your face.

4: Ice it. Ice will reduce swelling and redness, making your spot less prominent.
5: Face masks are amazing. They will clean out your pores which will lessen your chances of getting even more spots.

| These face masks are great and really affordable too! |
6: Try putting a hot cloth on the spot to bring it to a head. This will increase the effectiveness of applying the spot treatment or tea tree oil.
7: When I was younger I used to have pretty bad acne. I completely got rid of it myself when I started tying my hair back at night. This honestly made such a big difference. It stopped the transference of the oils from my hair onto my face.
8: Drink loads of water. It will help keep your skin hydrated. Green tea has also been proven to help clear up skin.

9: Don't touch your face. Your hands have A LOT of bacteria on them that can cause acne so touch your face as little as possible.
10: Just wash your face! The best way to treat a pimple is to avoid getting them in the first place! I keep makeup wipes in my bedside table because that way I have no excuse to not wash my face.

So there are my ten tips for clearing up your skin! I hope that this was helpful! Let me know what your tips are to clear up your skin!

How to Enhance Your Eye Shape!
Everyone's eye shape is different. Some have small, round eyes, others have wide, elongated eyes. A lot of people don't quite know how to do their makeup to suit they're eyes but fear no more! Today I'm going to tell you how to enhance the look of your eyes or even how you can change them slightly.

Small Eyes:
I myself have small eyes, and over the years I have learned many tricks to make them appear wider and rounder. Firstly, winged eyeliner will be your new best friend. Winged eyeliner will elongate the look of your eyes and will make them look nice and wide, another trick I'd like to share is revolving around eyeshadow. Take a light, white shimmery colour and apply it the the center of your lids, this will make them appear rounder. Also apply this too your inner V, this opens up the eyes to make you look wide awake! Next apply a white eyeliner to your water and tightline, this will open your eyes even farther! Finally when applying mascara wing it out slightly by wiggling the wand outwards, this will increase the wideness of your eyes.

Large Eyes:
Firstly if you have large eyes, you are so lucky and I am very jealous. However there are ways to really draw attention to those beautiful peepers. Try not to go overboard with the eyeliner as this will make your lids appear smaller, I know I'm contradicting myself by saying that eyeliner will make your eyes look bigger if you have small eyes, however applying eyeliner to small eyes will make them seem more "there" if you know what I mean where as applying too much to large eyes will make them appear smaller. To enhance your eyes try tight lining your eyes with a dark color, with bigger eyes its nice to emphasize them with long, full lashes, by tight-lining, your lashes will look much fuller, next curl your lashes, always curl your lashes before mascara. If you apply your mascara before you curl them, you run the risk of weakening/pulling out your lashes. (Quick tip;heat up your curlers with a blow drier for about ten seconds, this will help them hold their curl) Lastly try using a thin sweep of color underneath or ontop of your eyes to help make them pop, a turquoise color usually looks good on most colors but try out a few to find what suits you best.

Round Eyes:
If you want to elongate your eyes, your best bet is going to be to use winged eyeliner again as well as applying your mascara outwards as I suggested in the "Small Eyes" section. Next take a brush and line it up from the side of your nose, up to the corner of your eyes and using a brown shade (I love 'Mulch' from M.A.C) apply it in the crease of your eye following the brush as a guide. Then using a clean blending brush soften the lines you created. Using the brush as a guide will give a triangular kind of effect thus creating the illusion of wider eyes.

Wide Eyes:
For wide eyes you want to do basically the same thing as I suggested for small eyes minus the winged eyeliner and winged mascara. Instead, apply liner to the lids of your eyes without extending it farther than the corner of your eyes. Also apply a pencil liner to your waterline (if black is too harsh try a brown shade instead) Also apply your mascara to pre-curled lases straight up instead of pulling the lashes outward.

And that brings my advice giving to an end! Please keep in mind that no matter what you do, your eyes are unique and beautiful and these are simply suggestions as to how you can alter your look.

Zoella Beauty Review!
I have been such a huge fan and supporter of Zoe for a solid 3 years
now, so when I heard that she was releasing a line of products I knew I
had to get my hands on them. So when my mum went to England a
few weeks ago to visit our family, I sent her with a specific list of exactly what I wanted to try out from over there.
These are the products I purchased:
Firstly I'd just like to say how adorable is this packaging?! To me it's very vintage glam and it looks so nice sitting on my vanity. Not to mention how amazing the actual product is as well! The whole line carries the same scent, a fresh mix of fruity and floral, not to sweet but not to musky. It's just perfect. I'm usually really picky about scents and I tend to get bored of them super quickly but I just cant get enough of this! It's one of those scents that everyone will like. All of the products last really nicely on the skin especially when layered together, its not to overwhelming either which can be a problem for a lot of people including myself.
The body lotion takes a bit of rubbing in because of the vitamin E in it but other than that it's really moisturizing, also, it doesn't sting to apply after shaving which a lot of moisturizers tend to do. As for the bath soak it creates a good amount of bubbles and makes your bathroom smell heavenly. The body mist is great and pairs well with the other products. My only minor complaint is that the actual sprayer tends to kind of dribble the product out versus actually misting it on to you. But it's only 8 pounds so it really isn't a major deal. Finally there is the makeup bag. I am SO in love with this case, the blue color goes so well with the polka dots and I love that her eyes are on it because its from such an iconic picture of her. It's also a great size and fits all the products I use daily in it. It is made from a kind of plastic-y material so it wipes clean which is a must if you are as messy as I am.
Over all, I am so happy with this line and I could not be more proud of her for achieving so much,I love you so much Zoe and wish you all the best!
